The Daily Grind
Creating content imagery for business, is about finding ways that I can interpret my clients vision and turn that into an image that represents their story and brand.
Take for example this image taken for a CPAP Australia - a publishing company based in Melbourne, producing educational resources for the state of Victoria.
Prolens Photography created the cover image for this leading Victorian secondary economics text book company, which writes tutorials for the year 11 and 12 (VCE) students.
My client's brief to me was to produce a photograph that represents the daily grind of today's society churning the economic wheel.
So after scouting Melbourne's streets for a way that I could represent this requirement, I found the perfect place, at the ever popular DeGrave's Street. This street is famous for it's coffee and grungy style eateries, that attract both locals and tourists. I had been out and about from 6am that morning and after standing in the cold, looking at this street and it's haphazard signage, I realised it was the perfect place to take this photo.
It wasn't until 8am in the morning, that this photograph emerged from the passing traffic of Melbourne office workers, grabbing coffee on route to perform their daily grind. It couldn't be a more perfect way of embodying what my client wanted for their new economics book cover.
